This Wiki:

Will record our groups attempt to look into children's programming (on Playhouse Disney, Nick Jr., and PBS) and determine the racial archetypes that are created for viewers 3-6.

This project will serve to guide our group to a greater understanding of what the products of major television networks are.

We will find out what sort of generalizations are made, stereotypes are portrayed, blatant racism is used, and “types” of characters that carry from one show to the next.

Then, we'll look at what research has to say about racist TV.

HI Group members - think about adding separate pages for each of your programs and them link them to this page.

ok so I added the links to the info sites. Some of them didn't have info sites so I just put a link to the show website. I didn't do Handy Manny and The Wonder Pets because they already had a link and I didn't want to screw it up!

Geo -
I think we need to come up with our own show biographies/info pages, I think using the actual websites that are from the shows is sort of supporting what we're trying to suggest might be wrong/flawed.

Kalei, you did a fabulous job on this site. It is informative, engaging, and well-designed. Congratulations on a task well done! I hope you will continue to build on the work you have done here because it is a valuable resource. I enjoyed learning about all these aspects of children's TV programming, and I am sure others will as well. Thanks for putting in the time and effort for all of us. Sandra
